    The Nesting Place

So two weeks ago, I discovered The Nesting Place – a super cool, very fabulous book about creating a beautiful home that’s not perfect. And she inspired me. With her words, her pictures, her experiences, her ideas. And then I made some of the projects my own!

I am so excited about these that it’s inspired me to create a Book Worm Party Idea Shoot!

Here are two of these crafty projects from the book so you can see what I mean….

    DIY Book Page Garland

All you have to do is tear out pages from a book you’re okay parting with, fold the pages in half, then cut into leaf shapes. I used around 100-150 pages to create this. Punch a hole (craft hole punch works fine) in the leaves to string them onto string or a vine to help give the garland shape, then hot glue into place. I hole-punched about 75 of these. The rest are simply hot-glued into holes and places that needed a little more oomph!

I decided I didn’t love this on furniture in my home, but I’m not a huge fan of these columns and trim in our living room so I loved adding the garland to soften the look and add some beautiful dimension! DIY book page garland collage

    DIY Book Page Wreath

Okay now for my favorite …. I followed the tutorial on making this here, although I liked the look of this wreath from The Nester and so this is my take on this wreath from all this inspiration.

    And the final product…

It looks like a huge dahlia and I’m in love!!DIY book page wreath

Doesn’t it make you so happy? This one is huge – around 36-38″ in diameter.

I’ve had such an overwhelming request to make these after posting it on Instagram and Facebook, that we’re selling these and smaller versions on our party product page! So if you love the crafty look, but don’t have the time to make it, don’t worry. You can get them already done for you! Or DIY your heart out. I know I’ve had a blast making these! Share with me if you do make your own. I’d love to see it – post in the comments if you’d like with a link to your own!

I’d love to hear what you think!! I ♥ comments! Leave your thoughts below! ;)
